Marko: Ja sam Marko. Da li voliš da plivaš?

I’m Marko. Do you like swimming?

Luka: Da, mnogo volim! Voda je super danas.

Yes, I love it a lot! The water is great today.

Marko: Hajde da igramo picigin!

Let’s play “picigin”! (picigin = beach ball game, popular on the Adriatic coast)

Luka: Važi! Imaš loptu?

Okay! Do you have a ball?

Marko: Imam, naravno!

Sara: Idem u park sa drugarima. A ti?

I’m going to the park with friends. And you?

Ana: I ja idem! Hoćemo da igramo fudbal?

I’m going too! Shall we play football?

Sara: Može! Ja ću da donesem loptu.

Sure! I’ll bring the ball.

Ana: Super! Vidimo se tamo!

(Summer monologue: I’m on vacation)

Zdravo! Ja sam Leo. Imam dvanaest godina i volim leto.

Hi! I’m Leo. I’m twelve years old and I love summer.

Leti idem na more sa porodicom. Volim da plivam i da jedem sladoled.

In summer, I go to the sea with my family. I like swimming and eating ice cream.

Ujutru idem na plažu, a popodne igram fudbal sa drugarima.

In the morning, I go to the beach, and in the afternoon I play football with my friends.

Uveče šetamo i gledamo zvezde.

In the evening, we walk and watch the stars.
