Haircuts / IELTS Speaking task 1

Updated: Oct 4, 2022

1. Do you often change your hairstyle?

No, I don't change my hairstyle often. I used to do it often in my youth, I tried different hairstyles - long, short, dark, fair hair, but now it seems I have found my style and do not change it.

2. Do you enjoy going to the barbershop / hairdresser's?

I cannot give a simple answer. Going to the hairdresser is always a hope for improvement, a bit of excitement and expectation of something new and unusual, faith in the creativity of the hairdresser. But more often, it ends up with disappointment, so I rather do not enjoy going to the hairdresser.

3. What kind of haircuts did you get as a kid?

When I was a child, I had blonde, wavy long hair. When I was about 5 years old, my father took me to a hairdresser and there my hair became as short as it is now.

4. Do people in your country get a lot of haircuts?

People in my country get a lot of haircuts, they like to do intricate haircuts, it can cost more than people first expect. But there are also many people with long hair and very simple hairstyles.

5. Would you like to change the colour of your hair?

I am not sure, maybe just a little bit. Hair is a part of an image that has to be authentic, so, I would like to keep the colour of my hair natural and organic as it is now.
