Part 1: Introduction & Interview (4–5 minutes)
Topic: Work Habits and Thinking Styles
Examiner: Do you consider yourself a creative person?
Candidate: Yes, I think so. I like coming up with new ideas and imagining how things could be improved or made more interesting. I often use mind maps or sketch things when I plan a project—it helps me think more freely.
Examiner: Do you prefer working in a structured or flexible environment?
Candidate: I prefer a mix. I like having clear goals and deadlines—that keeps me focused. But I also need space to explore ideas and solve problems in my own way. Too much control can limit creativity, and too much freedom can make it hard to finish tasks.
Examiner: How do you usually organize your time when working on a task?
Candidate: I usually break the task into smaller steps, set a schedule, and add some creative checkpoints where I can reflect or test ideas. I also use digital tools like Trello or Notion to stay organized, but I try not to make it too rigid.
Part 2: Long Turn (3–4 minutes)
Task: Describe a situation when you had to use both creativity and structure to complete something successfully. You should say:
What the situation was
Why creativity was needed
How structure helped you
Candidate: I’d like to describe a project I worked on during a design thinking workshop.
We had to create a concept for an app that helps students manage stress. At the beginning, we used brainstorming techniques to explore different directions—some were very unusual, like a virtual pet that gives mental health tips. Creativity helped us think beyond typical apps and find something fun and meaningful.
Then came the hard part: turning the idea into a working prototype. That’s where structure became essential. We created a timeline with stages—research, wireframes, user testing—and divided the responsibilities among team members. I was responsible for organizing our ideas and presenting the logic behind the features.
In the end, our app was selected as one of the best in the group. I believe it worked because we balanced imagination with structure. Too much freedom would’ve left us with vague ideas, and too much order might’ve blocked creativity.
Part 3: Discussion (4–5 minutes, IELTS устная часть Черногория)
Topic: Creativity and Discipline in Work and Education
Examiner: Do you think creativity is important in all professions?
Candidate: Yes, in different ways. In the arts, it’s obviously essential, but even in science, engineering, or business, you need creativity to solve problems, design new products, or improve systems. Creative thinking helps people adapt to changes and innovate.
Examiner: How can professionals stay creative while working under pressure?
Candidate: I think the key is to have short breaks, change perspectives, or brainstorm with others. Pressure can block ideas, but if the environment supports openness and flexibility, people can still think creatively. Some companies even build in "creative time" for their employees.
Examiner: Should schools focus more on creativity or discipline?
Candidate: Ideally both. Discipline builds focus and responsibility, while creativity develops flexible thinking and curiosity. If students are only trained to follow rules, they may lack initiative. But if there’s no structure, they might struggle to complete tasks. A good education balances these two forces and helps students grow as complete individuals.
